Rathfarnham Biodiversity Roof Installation – 100m²
This new installation in Rathfarnham combines sedum roofing, wild meadow planting, and edible biodiversity zones as part of a beautifully designed modern home extension. The roof sits above a composite deck with glass framing, creating a seamless connection between living space and nature — while giving back to the local ecosystem.
By next May–June, this 100m² living roof will be fully established, alive with pollinators, birds, and native biodiversity. A carefully selected blend of sedum, wildflowers, and edible planting will create a resilient, low-maintenance habitat that supports wildlife while enhancing the visual impact of the home.
This project is not just about aesthetics — it’s about:
- Supporting urban biodiversity
- Creating a natural wildlife corridor
- Improving insulation and rainwater management
- Giving something back to the wider community
A true example of how modern construction and nature can work together beautifully.
