Benefits of Office Plants

Office plants do more than just look pretty. Although greenery can add to the atmosphere of an office there are physical benefits to plants. Plants can reduce fatigue, headache, coughing and irritation of the eyes by up to 30% not to mention stress reductions among employees.

Office plants provide oxygen into an environment and scrub toxins from the air. They reduce noise levels, allowing people to work more effectively and efficiently. For those reasons alone, staff absence is reduced and therefore plants offer a great return on your investment.

Here is a list of some of the best plants to enhance your working environment….

Ficus Alii:

This Ficus is rapidly growing in popularity due to its slender dark foliage which makes it a pleasant looking plant. It is less fussy than the usual Ficus benjamina and grows well in well-lit areas. As with all ficus it has some leaf drop but other than that it is a robust plant.

Dracaena Janet Craig:

These plants can tolerate areas with low light levels and are the best plant for removing trichloroethylene. Its dark green foliage and dark green stem make it a unique looking plant.

Dracaena Marginata:

The Marginata has beautiful long green narrow foliage on a slim stem. It is architectural in stature and fits into the smallest of spaces.

Also known as the peace lily, this plant gives a beautiful white flower and has a lush green foliage. It is a great plant for use in desk boll arrangements alongside other plants or just on its own.

Philodendron Scandens:

This plant has a beautiful heart shaped leaf and can be used as an upright tall plant on a moss pole or as a trailing plant used in base planting.
