Hedge Trimming

Our hedge trimming garden maintenance is completed to ensure your sites are always looking their best.

We can provide hand and machinery based hedge cutting services using our tractor/flail cutting units or our recently brought hedge cutting machinery.

Hedge cutting via the Tractor mounted flail cutting is completed with consideration to wildlife, especially nest birds. Hedge trimming is included in the winter tidy to ensure that your hedges look their best all year round.  We ensure that your hedges are ready for those important events including Perspective Parents Evenings and other events held at your school.

We use a scaffolding tower to reduce any high hedges if required.  All employees have received the correct health and safety training to ensure all trimming is completed to an efficient and high quality standard of work.

Invasive Weeds

We are now able to remove and treat Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam, Giant Hogweed and other invasive weeds safely and with the knowledge to prevent it returning. If Japanese Knotweed is not treated correctly, it will spread very quickly through the grounds.  We use a herbicide to treat Japanese Knotweed rather than pulling and cutting this invasive weed as even the smallest stem or root can grow into a new plant and roots can shoot laterally.

We can also provide selective weed killer which can be applied to front reception lawns and cricket wickets to remove dandelions and daisies. Moss can also be treated on tennis courts, netball court, pathways and playgrounds, reducing the risk to children when playing sports.

Weed Control

Grasshopper Services provide weed control throughout the year using a weed control based application that is safe and approved. Weed control is part of your grounds maintenance service, preventing weeds appearing over your site. The use of weed control substances and application by Croppers complies with CHAS standards.
